Introduction
- After adoption of Resolution 1/127 by the FAO Council to establish SWIOFC, work began towards the establishment of the SIOFA to complement the SWIOFC.
- Noting history of the SWIOFC and SIOFA, the signatories of the agreement agreed that the SIOFA shall cooperate closely with and, in particular, the SWIOFC.
Objectives
- This commitment is further strengthened by Rule 18 of the SIOFA Rules of Procedures, that allows SWIOFC to participate to the Meeting of the Parties as an observer.
